The Ides of March – From Cybele and Attis to The Cult Of Mithra and Sol Invictus.

The quintessential ancient celebration of the Ides of March (Mars) to the vernal equinox was the Roman festival of Cybele and Attis.

March was the traditional start of the Roman campaign season, and the Tubilustrium (tubus “pipe” and illustrium “clear, “bright”) which was a ceremony to make the army fit for war. The festival was held on March 23, the last day of the Quinquatria festival held in tribute to the god Mars. The Quinquatria was a festival sacred to the Etruscan Minerva, (the Greek Athena) and celebrated on the 19 March, the fifth (quin) day after the Ides.

During the Tubilustrium, sacred trumpets were blown and the leaping Salii priests who wore the peculiar domed headdress topped with a point could be seen dancing through the streets of the city.

This occurred during the festival of Cybele and Attis

The Romans adopted the worship of the Phrygian Mother of the Gods in 204 B.C. towards the close of their long struggle with Hannibal. A prophecy from the Sibylline Books, that a foreign invader would be driven from their land if the great Anatolian goddess was taken to Rome had encouraged them. Accordingly, ambassadors were dispatched to her sacred city, Pessinus in Phrygia. The small black stone meteorite, which embodied the mighty divinity, was entrusted to them and conveyed to Rome, where it was received with great respect and installed in the temple of Victory on Palatine Hill. Soon after Cybele’s installation, the harvest was such as had not been seen for many years, and soon Hannibal’s occupying army left in defeat.

The ceremony of the feast of Cybele proceeded in this fashion:

March 15th  Canna intrat (The Reed enters)

The ides of March was the first full moon of the roman calendar year. It was the day when Attis was born, exposed as an infant among the reeds of a Phrygian river

March 22nd  Arbor Intrat. (The Tree Entered)

A pine tree sacred to Cybele was felled and carried in funeral procession through Rome to the Temple of Cybele on Palatine Hill where it was treated as a great divinity. The duty of carrying the sacred tree was entrusted to a special guild of tree-bearers. The trunk was swathed like a corpse with woolen bands and decked with wreaths of violets, since violets were said to have sprung from the blood of Attis, just as roses and anemones had sprung from the blood of Adonis. An effigy of a young Attis was tied to the middle of the stem since it was believed that after his death, Zeus had changed Attis into a pine-tree.

March 23rd . The day of mourning, also the day of the Tubilustrium, accompanied by the blowing of trumpets. The Greeks called the day, Descensus. (“the descent”)

March 24th. Sanguis (“The Day of Blood”)

Sir James George Fraser describes the Sanguis in The Golden Bough:

“Stirred by the wild barbaric music of clashing cymbals, rumbling drums, droning horns, and screaming flutes, the inferior clergy whirled about in the dance with waggling heads and streaming hair, until, rapt into a frenzy of excitement and insensible to pain, they gashed their bodies with potsherds or slashed them with knives in order to bespatter the altar and the sacred tree with their flowing blood. The ghastly rite probably formed part of the mourning for Attis and may have been intended to strengthen him for the resurrection…. Further, we may conjecture, though we are not expressly told, that it was on the same Day of Blood and for the same purpose that the novices sacrificed their virility. Wrought up to the highest pitch of religious excitement they dashed the severed portions of themselves against the image of the cruel goddess. These broken instruments of fertility were afterwards reverently wrapt up and buried in the earth or in subterranean chambers sacred to Cybele, where, like the offering of blood, they may have been deemed instrumental in recalling Attis to life and hastening the general resurrection of nature, which was then bursting into leaf and blossom in the vernal sunshine. Some confirmation of this conjecture is furnished by the savage story that the mother of Attis conceived by putting in her bosom a pomegranate sprung from the severed genitals of a man-monster named Agdestis, a sort of double of Attis.”

Fraser continues:

“While the flutes played, the drums beat, and the eunuch priests slashed themselves with knives, the religious excitement gradually spread like a wave among the crowd of onlookers, and many a one did that which he little thought to do when he came as a holiday spectator to the festival. For man after man, his veins throbbing with the music, his eyes fascinated by the sight of the streaming blood, flung his garments from him, leaped forth with a shout, and seizing one of the swords which stood ready for the purpose, castrated himself on the spot. Then he ran through the city, holding the bloody pieces in his hand, till he threw them into one of the houses which he passed in his mad career. The household thus honored had to furnish him with a suit of female attire and female ornaments, which he wore for the rest of his life…. Indeed the story that Attis unmanned himself under a pine-tree was clearly devised to explain why his priests did the same beside the sacred violet-wreathed tree at his festival. At all events, we can hardly doubt that the Day of Blood witnessed the mourning for Attis over an effigy of him which was afterwards buried.”

March 25th. Hilaria (“The Day of Joy”) or Hilaria Matris Deûm. (“Joy of the divine mother”) The Greek called the Ascensus. (“the ascent”)

Fraser describes the Hilaria:

“But when night had fallen, the sorrow of the worshippers was turned to joy. For suddenly a light shone in the darkness: the tomb was opened: the god had risen from the dead; and as the priest touched the lips of the weeping mourners with balm, he softly whispered in their ears the glad tidings of salvation. The resurrection of the god was hailed by his disciples as a promise that they too would issue triumphant from the corruption of the grave. On the morrow, the twenty-fifth day of March, which was reckoned the vernal equinox, the divine resurrection was celebrated with a wild outburst of glee. At Rome, and probably elsewhere, the celebration took the form of a carnival. It was the Festival of Joy (Hilaria). A universal license prevailed. Every man might say and do what he pleased. People went about the streets in disguise. No dignity was too high or too sacred for the humblest citizen to assume with impunity. All kinds of games and amusements were allowed on this day; masquerades were the most prominent among them, and everyone might, in his disguise, imitate whomsoever he liked, and even magistrates. The day of its celebration was the first after the vernal equinox, or the first day of the year which was longer than the night.”

During this time initiates partook in a peculiar ritual of bull blood baptism.

Described by Fraser:

“In the baptism the devotee, crowned with gold and wreathed with fillets, descended into a pit, the mouth of which was covered with a wooden grating. A bull, adorned with garlands of flowers, its forehead glittering with gold leaf, was then driven on to the grating and there stabbed to death with a consecrated spear. Its hot reeking blood poured in torrents through the apertures, and was received with devout eagerness by the worshipper on every part of his person and garments, till he emerged from the pit, drenched, dripping, and scarlet from head to foot, to receive the homage, nay the adoration, of his fellows as one who had been born again to eternal life and had washed away his sins in the blood of the bull. For some time afterwards the fiction of a new birth was kept up by dieting him on milk like a new-born babe. The regeneration of the worshipper took place at the same time as the regeneration of his god, namely at the vernal equinox. At Rome the new birth and the remission of sins by the shedding of bull’s blood appear to have been carried out above all at the sanctuary of the Phrygian goddess on the Vatican Hill, at or near the spot where the great basilica of St. Peter’s now stands; for many inscriptions relating to the rites were found when the church was being enlarged in 1608 or 1609.”

The Solarium Augusti

Gaius Julius Caesar Octavianus, became the first Emperor of Rome, Augustus (majestic, venerable, worthy of honor) and constructed the Solarium Augusti. Augustus had an interest in the Spring Equinox (his birthday) and this is important in light of the festival of Cybele.

The Solarium Augusti or Horologium Augusti was a monument in the Campus Martius (Field of Mars) that functioned as a gnomon (remember the name of the center column of the Georgia Guidestones) for his giant sundial. Augustus took the 98 foot Egyptian red granite obelisk of Psammetichus II (595-589 BC) from Heliopolis (City of the sun or Helios) also known as Awanu (the place of the pillars) in ancient Egypt. Today the gnomon stands in front of the Italian Chamber of Deputies building and is known as the Obelisk of Montecitorio.

The mathematician Facondius Novus worked out the meridian pavement in front of the gnomon. It was inlaid with a gilded bronze network of lines, by which it was possible to read the time of day according to the season of the year that were to be marked by the obelisk’s shadow. The pavement was constructed from slabs of travertine, on which a quadrant was marked out with bronze letters, with indications of the hours, months, seasons and signs of the zodiac. Besides its function as a solar clock, the obelisk was oriented in such manner so as to cast its shadow on the nearby marble Ara Pacis (Altar of Peace) on 23rd of September, Augustus’s birthday, which coincided with the autumnal equinox.

Ara Pacis Augustae, the “Altar of Augustan Peace”

The Solarium was dedicated to the Sun (Helios, Sol-Invictus, Mithra, Apollo) in 10 BC, shortly after Julius Caesar’s calendar reform and was the first solar dedication in Rome.

horologium1Layout of the Solarium Augusti. Notice the straight line in the center of the meridian pavement indicating the solar equinoxes. The picture indicates an evening during the vernal or autumnal equinox. At sunset on either of these days the point of the shadow enters the Altar of Peace.

The Solarium’s obelisk was topped with a curious pointed ball marking its apex.

horologium2The original Obelisk ball tip mimics the headdress worn by the Salii priests. This “obelisk” tipped ball also imitates the image of the Flamsteed ball.

timeball_20040526085133In fact, the obelisk marker, the Salii priest’s caps and the Flamsteed ball are all symbols for the star Sirius.

The Egyptian hieroglyph representing Sirius contains three elements: a phallic obelisk (representing Osiris) and womb-like dome, (representing Isis) and a star (representing Horus).

siriushieroglyph1-e1304782865737The symbol of the star signifying the Roman god of war, Mars as the resurrected Attis (aka Hermes, Helios, Sol Invictus, Mithra, Apollo) also makes a good military helmet.

F-4Remember that the spring equinox, March 23rd) is also the day of mourning for Attis, as well as the Tubilustrium. At this time star Sirius is at its highest point at sunset. Literally then according to the layout of the Solarium, the gnomon with its peculiar pointed ball marking its apex symbolizes the highest aspect of Sirius while the sun rests in the place of Augustian peace.

Conversely during the Fall Equinox, Sirius is at its highest point at sunrise and as the gnomon obelisk marks noon, Sirius rests in the Ara Pacis Augustae.

One hundred and seventy years later, the co-emperors Marcus Aurelius and Lucius Verus erected a column to honor the previous emperor, Antoninus Pius on the same Field of Mars. At the column’s base was and elaborate scene carved in red granite known as the Apotheosis of Antonius.

The carving is described as a winged genius carrying Antoninus and his wife Faustina to Heaven. The male figure reclining on the left the holds the obelisk of the Solarium Augusti and the armored female figure in the right saluting the emperor and empress represents Roma, her shield depicts the legendary founders of Rome, Romulus and Remus, suckled by Lupa.

antoninus_pius_reliefThis description does not truly convey the meaning of the carving however.

Compare the image of the Apotheosis of Antonius to the image of the Tauroctony scene of Mithra slaying the bull.

taurocThe winged man is not the “emperor becoming a god” but an image of the expected coming god who rises as the sun. Just as Attis “dies” on the day of mourning, he rises at the Hilaria. The woman in full armor is Athena, or Cybele. Just as in the Tauroctony, Cybele emerges from the rock on the upper right. Mars reclining at the base of the Apotheosis carving is mirrored by Sol-Invictus at the top left of the Tauroctony.

(I cover the information describing the “Tauroctony Concept” and its true meaning in depth in my book, Forbidden Secret of the Labyrinth.)

The great tomb of Augustus (completed in 28 B.C ) on the Field of Mars further illustrated the idea that the emperor likened himself to the sun god Sol-Invictus or Attis as divine Caesar. As the sun god he would rise again. This belief was perhaps wishful hope on the part of Augustus and perhaps more of an honorific foreshadowing or type that demonstrated the hoped for sun-savior of the world, the coming god that the Romans were well familiar, and who the Greeks called, Apollyon.

The outward form of the tomb is the same as a circumpunct -the symbol of the sun.

120px-Circumpunct.svg

The lofty foundation of white marble was thickly covered with pine trees (the symbol of Attis) to the very summit. The interior of the tomb was constructed with concentric walls and the top had a bronze image of Augustus.

fig053Halloween

Although Halloween falls just after the Fall Equinox it has parallels to the antics of the participants of the quintessential masquerade festival of the ancient world where, as Fraser writes:

“A universal license prevailed where everyone might say and do as they pleased. People went about the streets in disguise. No dignity was too high or too sacred for the humblest citizen to assume with impunity. All kinds of games and amusements were allowed on this day; masquerades were the most prominent among them, and everyone might, in his disguise, imitate whomsoever he liked, and even magistrates.”

The parallels to Halloween are interesting – as are the reasons for the antics of the people of Rome who celebrated the Hilaria.

Why celebrate with a masquerade? Why the freedom to do or say as one pleased when the god Attis has risen? It is because the festival portends a coming time when he (Attis, Sol Invictus) has “defeated” the “oppressor” god of the Garden. At this “sun-god’s” coming, his worshipers believe that they will no longer be under the oppression of the same God who “cursed” Attis.

The timeline of the modern tradition of bringing a (Christmas) tree into the home starts with the Roman holiday for Cyble and Attis during the spring festivals around the Ides of March and Vernal Equinox and is retained as the cult progresses over 700 years to the Winter solstice festival for Sol Invictus.

  1. Awesome research and work, Mark. Thank you. They never comprehended that the killing of the Bull of heaven/Jesus would bring to them their own destruction. In their bloodthirsty haste and hatred to destroy the Son of God they justified and sealed their sentences. Nothing can stand against God’s Words which He has spoken concerning all things. That was their first error. Their power shall be taken and they shall be removed to the Abyss and made an utter end of for oppressing His children. Good riddance.
I have a couple of thoughts of recent observations to share with you. I hope you can refine and expand on it for edification to others. The number “17” appears to be connected to much of what is going on concerning the 1st beast of Revelation 13, who I see as this same resurrected Attis/ Apollo – the “rebirth of Osiris”, if I may go so far. Also there are some peculiar similarities of depictions of Osiris sitting in his shrine, with the Temple Mount event on the 28th day of the year, 1st hour of the day (and 1st month – beginning) 2011, and with the REBIS image.
I will begin with Revelation chapter “17”. The very first verse appears to point to “1 of 7”, to confirm the significance. “And there came one of the seven angels…” – And it concerns the “great whore”, which it is all concerned with, which is no doubt in my mind the church of Rome (real pagan church), which appears to be the mother of the 1st beast and 6 prior manifestations (beasts) since the flood (7 kings), according to the symbolism of the 8 demon masks on the base of the Baldacchino/Shrine of Osiris serpentine pillars. The “8th” mask representing the angel of the bottomless pit/Osiris/Azazel when he rises in his own skin at the 5th trumpet, assuming the role of the 2nd beast of Rev. 13 who is the false prophet that does all the miracles and wonders after he shows up – exercising all the power of the 1st beast (who is not seen to do wonders after his resurrection- because he is no longer possessed by Osiris) – which he possessed before Jesus killed Him just prior during the 6th Seal. We know that Jesus had to kill him during the 6th Seal because we know that is what Jesus does when He arrives, according to 2nd Thess. 2. The “one” group of the Elect, “the multitude which no man can number”, standing before God’s throne in white robes (during the 6th Seal) can only get there one way, because Jesus has arrived and sent His angels to gather them there. The angel rising out of the east has to be Jesus in His “transfigured” form of power, as that of an angel. Just as the “angel” that Jesus sends in Rev. 1 can only be Jesus in this form also. Close study of this confirms it, that there is nobody but Jesus there. No other entity or angel is present. None other can be given the attributes of God and Jesus as described. This gives the precedent to prove that the “angel” rising out of the east is Him. He is in that form. Described this way because He is not in the form of a man. Just as Enoch describes this ability of angels around God’s throne – “They appeared as flames of fire, but could assume the form of a man whenever they wished”.
After he ascends out of the bottomless pit, the 2nd beast “gives life unto the image of the beast”(1st beast) to continue the deception to destroy souls. He “speaks as a dragon” because he is one. He is “1 of the 7” satans, as described by Enoch. “The whole world wonders after the beast who’s deadly wound (unto the death) was healed”. Jesus gives him this wound during the 6th Seal, when He arrives and kills the 1st beast, who is also the 7th king of Rev. 17:10. He is also the “8th”. Same as the REBIS image depicting the two heads. He is also the “8th” because he is possessed by the beast/angel that rises out of the bottomless pit, who is the 8th. He is therefore the 7th and the 8th. “1 of the 7” kings and the 8th. Revelation 6 verses “7” and “8” surprisingly mirror these same numbers, being exactly who the 4th horseman is, a composite of the 7th and 8th. The REBIS man. “Pale” horse because he is not in his full light, merely his soul possessing another being, the 7th king – whoever that turns out to be when he manifests – probably the Pope.
The REBIS image contains the attributes observed in the red stars over the Temple Mount on 1-28-2011. The tetrahedron is a 3-dimensional structure (as is the earth) that contains 4 corners. The red stars assuming this formation defines and proves “who” they are. They are the “4 angels standing at the 4 corners of the earth”. These angels are seen in the beginning of Rev. 7 and are found to be “the dragon and his angels” described in Rev. 12 (they are 4 of the 7 satans – primary – as Michael and his angels are the 4 who stand at the 4 sides of God’s throne – then 3 more holy angels as Enoch describes – totaling 7 but divided in 4 and 3. Same pattern with the satans). The 4 angels standing at the 4 corners of the earth are seen in Rev 7 just after they have been cast out of heaven in chapter 6 (the “stars of heaven” that fall to the earth). Rev. 12 shows us that these angels “hurt the earth and sea” (Rev. 7) also – “woe to the inhabiters of the earth and sea, for the devil has come down unto you having great wrath…”. By defining “who” the red stars are, this further defines who the white star is, that it can only be Michael. By observing the parallels between Rev. 12:7-12 and Rev 6-7 it can be defined that the rider of the white horse is Michael and the rider of the red horse is the dragon (great “red” dragon). The “stars of heaven” (6th Seal) are only cast out of heaven as a result of war in heaven. Therefore It has to “begin” for this to take place. It must begin with the 1st Seal. It ends in the 6th Seal when the stars of heaven fall to the earth. “I heard a loud voice in heaven saying Now is come Salvation – for the accuser has been cast down…”(Rev. 12). “They cried with a loud voice, Salvation unto our God…” – after the stars of heaven fall to the earth – during the 6th Seal. (Rev 6-7) SAME EVENTS. This is big. It confirms and defines so much that has been hidden in Revelation.. I hope God has opened your eyes to these parallels and their significance. The Temple Mount event confirms it and ties it together. It all works together to define and confirm it is the truth.
The oscillation marks within the REBIS square and triangle depict the oscillations of the red stars flashing from light to dark as well as their movement to center while oscillating (of the 4 angels/satans), as seen over the Temple Mount. The other 3 angels may also be represented by the triangle’s corners – to add to the 7 satans. All 7 coincide and connect to 1 point (yet having separate angles at the joining point- adding to 7 angles/angels total) their leader, being the dragon himself, although they could all be described as dragons or serpents. The 7 planets and sun appear to represent the 7 manifestations of the 7 kings. Notice how each is within a star. Composite. The REBIS stands on the back of the dragon, wherewith it receives it’s power and manifests.
The Apollo coin depicting the 3 dolphins swimming around the A are another example of this “oscillation”, and further confirmation of association with the operation of the 4 red stars seen over the Temple Mount. The A is the top of the pyramid. The dolphins jump from one dimension to another – air to water to air to water. Just as light to dark to light to dark.
Another fascinating point about these oscillations are seen in the Chinese dragons. Notice how they are seen undulating/oscillating side to side or up and down. Allusion to the same.
The lotus flower seen depicted in the most widely shown ancient Egyptian illustrations of the Shrine of Osiris shows 4 guys standing on top of it. Called the “4 sons of Horus”. (There are also 4 guys standing atop the Baldacchino – literally “4 angels standing at the 4 corners of the earth” – dragon and his angels) Notice how they are also half embodied in a sarcophagus, as is Osiris – showing their similitude. Notice also how the lotus connects 3 points with 1 (same as a tetrahedron), and oscillating dashes also appear in the form. The lotus is connected to the base of the throne through a stem. The stem is a conduit and vortex structure by which the lotus comes to be – representing the same action as the 4 red stars in their serpentine movement over the Temple Mount. They must have created a portal or conduit by which they ascended into heaven. Compare this slow cumbersome serpentine spiraling vortex movement with the spectacular multi mach speed exit of Michael. Then examine Genesis 3:14 “And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:”. – Cattle/bulls are angels according to Enoch. The red stars/serpent surely crawls upon their belly to enter heaven. or wherever they went – compared to Michael. Further proof of who they were, further defining and proving this event was the loosing of the 1st and 2nd Seals.
The numbers most associated with Osiris are 17 and 28. Also 77. Zecheriah 11:17 confirms that Osiris is the “idol shepherd” in that it describes the symbols of Horus’ power – those being that he was called “the god with the upraised arm” and his “right eye is the sun”. This confirms Osiris is the angel of the bottomless pit. It also defines the 4th horseman as the rider named Death with hell following as being the 1st beast of Rev. 13, in that Osiris is the king of death and the underworld. There have been those supposed scholars who have out of nowhere proclaimed that the rider of the white horse (1st Seal) was the antichrist, without ever giving any reasoning why – at all. No basis whatsoever. The revelation of the parallels found between Rev 12:7-12 and Rev. 6-7 confirm who the rider of the white horse must be, that it is Michael. Zech. 11:”17″ confirms who the rider of the pale horse must be. A side note to Zecheriah 11 is that what is described as happening in it will likely commence upon the arrival of the pale horse. Zech.11:6 For I will no more pity the inhabitants of the land, saith the LORD: but, lo, I will deliver the men every one into his neighbour’s hand, and into the hand of his king: and they shall smite the land, and out of their hand I will not deliver them. 7 And I will feed the flock of slaughter, even you, O poor of the flock. And I took unto me two staves; the one I called Beauty, and the other I called Bands; and I fed the flock. 8 Three shepherds also I cut off in one month; and my soul lothed them, and their soul also abhorred me. 9 Then said I, I will not feed you: that that dieth, let it die; and that that is to be cut off, let it be cut off; and let the rest eat every one the flesh of another.
War in heaven began over the Temple Mount on 1-28-2011 – I have no doubt. The symbolism of the associated numbers and the actions seen define it. Not to mention the spectacular beauty and power of Michael. We are coming up on the 7th year anniversary of this event. It is ALL about “7”. The symbolism of happening in the 1st hour and 1st month relates “beginning”. The “28” connects to 7 Seals and the 4 horses – same pattern and foundation relative to 7. The 1st and 2nd Seals occurred back to back. I expect the 3rd and 4th Seals to do likewise. They go hand in hand with each other anyway. Observe that the black and the “green” of the horses associate with Osiris and Horus also. Pale “green” horse in a few translations of Revelation. It is very well likely that the last month (began in the 1st) will be the culmination of the final 2 horses. “17” speaks for itself. This is 2017. Does it mean anything. I do not know, but I do know that “17” connects in too many places associated with all of this. Keep a look out. War in heaven began is definite. God is not going to wait around too long to finish it. 7 years may well be the timing. One good thing about it is that Jesus will arrive 3-1/2 years after it begins, during then 6th Seal to gather His Elect from “All Nations” from God’s wrath beginning with the 7th Seal. Armageddon 3-1/2 years after that He finally sets foot on the earth and gathers the 144,000 Elect, destroying evil angels from the face of the earth for a thousand years and bringing His kingdom, love and peace. God be with us. Glory be to the Most High.
    God bless you Mark.

    • The “beginning” of the 42 month or 3-1/2 year reign of the 1st beast is what I intended to say there at the last. The arrival and reign of the 1st beast/7th king likely begins at the end of 2017, based on the “17” and being a month shy of 7 years since war in heaven began over the Temple Mount. This is the same 3-1/2 years leading up the 6th Seal, when Jesus arrives and gathers the 1st group of the Elect from off the earth from the wrath that follows, beginning with the 7th Seal. God’s wrath will then be poured out for another 3-1/2 years until Armageddon, beginning with the 7th Seal. What are your feelings regarding the Ritual of Horus at the winter solstice, where Pharaoh becomes god/Horus? I see this as the time for the arrival of the 1st beast/7th king/man of sin/Horus, of the most likely time.

  2. Mark, do you believe the earlier origin of Attis and Sol Invictus was Osiris, and prior to that Baal/Nimrod? Do you see them as a manifestation of all the same entity and origin? I find that Nimrod must be the 1st king of the 7 kings spoken of in Revelation 17. The first REBIS, so to speak. Also that each of these 7 kings of Rev 17 were the manifestation of what you write above, at various times through history since the flood. With the 7th king about to manifest, who we call the anti-christ/1st beast of Rev 13. Is his arrival encoded in the REBIS image or elswhere? The rebirth of this Attis/Sol Invictus/Osiris. (He is also the 7th king of Rev 17 – this time he manifests). The link and connection to all these kings, is that they were “possessed” by the angel/beast of the bottomless pit, Apollyon/Abaddon. Is not Abaddon a derivative or root of Abydos? The eye over the pyramid is the symbol of the manifestation of the soul of Azazel/Osiris/Apollyon. Of his coming forth through the portal/vortex/conduit. A pyramid is a vortex mathematically, as you likely know. The wide side of the pyramid is directed exactly at the Underworld. The eye alone without his body represents his soul alone, come to possess a king, as the Pharaoh becoming god/Horus (possessed). While his body lies bound hand and foot in darkness in the pit, his face covered that he should see no light, as in a sarcophagus, as Osiris, which was Azazel. Right eye the sun represents the presence of this entity, who I now believe is 1 of the 7 satans, originally Azazel of Enoch, who ALL SIN was ascribed unto, by God. “Man of sin” is the man/king possessed by him. “He goeth into perdition”, thus “son of perdition” is the man/king possessed by him. In Rev 13 it says this beast/angel that rises out of the bottomless pit “speaks as a dragon”. I say he does so because he IS 1 of the 7. Enoch tells us there are 7 satans. They appear to be divided into a group of 4 and a group of 3. As are the holy angels. Same as what the REBIS image appears to depict in it’s symbolism, dividing the numbers as such. it also depicts the 7 manifestations/kings as well, in my opinion. If war in heaven begins with the 1st and 2nd Seals of Rev 6, we are left with the 3rd and 4th for the arrival of the 1st beast/7th king/man of sin. Will the 3rd and 4th appear back to back as the 1st and 2nd did?
    – Over the Temple Mount on 1-28-2011. Nothing else it could have been, after all is considered and understood associated with it. Do you have an opinion of this? If you would like me to share the links on youtube again, I will include them. Let me know.
What do the 3 and 4 on the REBIS image allude to …The 3rd and 4th Seals? Possible. A stretch I know, but the black and green horses (pale green horse) are the same colors associated with Osiris. We know that Osiris is the king of death and the Underworld, which is the SAME as the rider named Death with hell following. He is the 4th horseman, is obvious once you know that Osiris is the Idol shepherd. He holds the shepherds crook and there is direct rebuke against the symbols of his power (as Horus) by God. His upraised arm (god with the upraised arm) and right eye (right eye the sun). Zech. 11:17 confirms it is this same entity, Horus. A king possessed by the soul of Osiris/Abaddon/Azazel, a dragon. It also shows what Jesus will do to him when he arrives and kills him. Likely at the 6th Seal.
What is the significance of the difference between the regeneration of Osiris, which appears to coincide with the Spring Equinox, and the ritual of the rebirth of Osiris at the winter solstice, when the ritual took place for Pharaoh to become god/Horus?
